"Elegant femininity": Lucrezia Solena

"Elegant femininity": Lucrezia Solena opens the 2026 artistic season at the Domaine de Rochebois

Spring 2026 dawns at the Domaine de Rochebois under a sign of warmth and light.
From March 6 to May 31, 2026, artist Lucrezia Solena takes over the Domaine with her exhibition "Élégante féminité" (Elegant Femininity), a vibrant celebration of beauty, diversity, and femininity.

The opening reception will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Orangerie. The exhibition is open to the public.

A world suspended between dreams and symbols

Born and based in the Dordogne region of France, Lucrezia Solena has developed an instantly recognizable artistic universe. Her symbolic and figurative style is accompanied by a touch of deliberate naivety that gives her works an almost timeless quality.

His paintings seem to emerge from a parallel world. A world where time no longer passes. Where death does not exist. Where loved ones watch over us with kindness.

For her, creating is a way of inventing an ideal space, a refuge. Through her female characters, lush flowers, protective animals, and references to world cultures, she composes scenes where everything seems connected. Boundaries fade away. Harmony reigns supreme.

An almost meditative meticulousness

Each work begins with an extremely detailed pencil drawing on white cardboard or canvas. Nothing is improvised. Every motif, every glance, every element of the setting is thought out, constructed, and balanced.

Next comes color. Applied with gouache or acrylic paint, using a small brush and infinite patience. The hues are vivid, luminous, harmonious. The motifs, sometimes whimsical, often lush, reflect a rich and deeply personal imagination.

This long and meticulous process gives his works a particular intensity. One can sense the time spent, the attention to detail, and the delicacy of the gesture.

An artist based in the Dordogne with an international reputation

Trained in advertising graphics and then decorative arts, enriched by a background in archaeology, Lucrezia Solena draws on a variety of influences in her work. She particularly admires the Nabis of Pont-Aven and the Impressionists, from whom she draws inspiration in terms of the strength of colors and the synthesis of forms.

Over the years, she has exhibited from Sarlat to Hong Kong, via Saint-Tropez and Brittany, receiving several awards, including a Silver Prize and a Gold Prize at the Château de Sévigné.

With "Élégante féminité" (Elegant Femininity), she returns to exhibit in her home region, in a place where heritage and artistic sensibility interact naturally.

A meeting between art and lifestyle

At Domaine de Rochebois, art is not discovered in an isolated space. It accompanies dinner, extends a moment at the bar, and invites contemplation after a break at the spa.

Lucrezia Solena's works find a special setting here: a place where elegance, gentleness, and attention to detail echo her own artistic approach.

"Elegant Femininity" is an invitation to feel the compassion, love, and kindness that permeate her work.
A luminous, intimate, and deeply human exhibition.
