Art comes to Rochebois
At Domaine de Rochebois, art is not exhibited. It thrives.
In 2026, the venue will reaffirm its cultural commitment more than ever by hosting three successive exhibitions in its iconic spaces: the Bar, the Restaurant, the Spa, the Rose Gallery, and the Orangery. These places of passage, contemplation, and sharing will become the setting for an encounter between heritage and contemporary creation.
Here, a work of art is not just something to look at. It accompanies a stay, prolongs a dinner, dialogues with the light of a late afternoon in the Dordogne.
One estate, three artistic worlds
Throughout the year, three artists take over Rochebois with their unique worlds, driven by the same desire: to stir emotions.
March–May 2026
"Elegant femininity" – Lucrezia Solena
Opening reception Friday, March 6, 2026
Born in the Dordogne region, artist Lucrezia Solena opens the season with a symbolic and figurative universe, imbued with poetry and vibrant colors.
Her works celebrate femininity, diversity, and the beauty of the world. Folklore, distant cultures, animals, and flowers intertwine in meticulous, almost timeless compositions. Each painting is conceived as a refuge: a suspended space where compassion, love, and kindness reign.
His highly precise work begins with a detailed pencil sketch before being colored with gouache or acrylic paint using a small brush. It is a long and demanding process that gives his works a unique richness.
A luminous, sensitive exhibition, deeply rooted in the soul of the region.
June–August 2026
"A little, a lot, passionately..." – Camille Groll
Opening reception Friday, June 5, 2026
Summer begins with a delicate dialogue around small flowers. At Camille Groll, material becomes language, fragility becomes strength.
Trained in fine arts, the artist has developed a poetic and powerful body of work, where emotion is palpable. The compositions question the subtle balances of life, between chance and intention, gentleness and intensity.
A summer exhibition full of finesse, inviting visitors to slow down, observe, and feel.
September–December 2026
"Resonances" – Cathy Schein
Opening reception Friday, September 4, 2026
In autumn, art becomes vibration.
With "Résonances," Cathy Schein offers a sensory immersion where painting and music interact. The visual works resonate with the sound composition, creating an immersive, almost meditative experience.
A different way of inhabiting space, perceiving matter, listening to silence.
Art as experience
At Domaine de Rochebois, art is not confined to a gallery. It permeates the premises, accompanies moments, and enriches the experience of guests and visitors.
Each exhibition is accompanied by an opening reception at the Orangerie, open to all. The works are available for purchase, allowing everyone to prolong the emotion beyond their stay.
By placing contemporary creation at the heart of its identity, Rochebois affirms its role as a cultural hub in the Dordogne: a place where heritage, hospitality, and artistic sensibility come together naturally.
Coming to Rochebois means staying on an estate.
It also means entering a whole new world.
